2024 Summer Intensives at LRY

Dive deep into your yoga practice and studies this summer with Laughing River Yoga!


We are excited to announce our expanded summer intensive schedule! Intensives provide an opportunity to learn from experienced teachers -- including Emily Garrett, Malaika DosRemedios, and Christina Fornaciari-- connect with other yoga practitioners, and go deeper into the layers of your own practice. The immersive format is designed to inspire sincere yoga students and teachers alike with a supportive container to nurture growth, evolution, and depth.

Weeklong Intensive (15 hrs)

Yin Yoga: A Journey Into the Subtle Body with Emily Garrett

Dates: June 3 - June 7, 2024

Format: Monday - Friday, 8 - 11 am




Practice slowing down, tuning in, and creating balance through the practice of Yin Yoga. Participants will explore using props, working with injuries, and creating a container conducive for stillness and self-reflection. Open to all.





 

Weekend Intensive (10 hrs)

Vinyasa Krama: The Energetics of Intelligent Sequencing with Malaika DosRemedios

Dates: June 14 - June 16, 2024

Format: Friday 6/14 6-8 pm, Saturday 6/15 and

Sunday 6/16 12:30-4:30 pm






This intensive is open to yoga teachers looking to deepen their teaching skills, lead with purpose, and have fun! Participants will explore how to intentionally construct and sequence the components of a yoga class to positively impact your students.










 


Weeklong Intensive (15 hrs)

Get Hip: Liberate Your Pelvis with Emily Garrett

Dates: July 8 - July 12, 2024

Format: Monday - Friday, 8 - 11 am

A healthy working knowledge of the pelvis guides us, and our students, to cultivating functional anatomy, ease and stability throughout the whole body. In this intensive, participants will explore pelvic anatomy, physiology, mythology, and practices, as well as the energetic and mental patterns that can take root in this region of the body. Open to yoga teachers and curious students.



 

Weeklong Intensive (15 hrs)

Embodied Āsana with Christina Fornaciari

Dates: July 29 - August 2, 2024

Format: Monday - Friday, 8 - 11 am



Go beyond shape-making with the body and learn to feel into the transformative power of yoga āsana (yoga postures). Participants will explore āsana as the gateway for exploring and integrating the physical, energetic, emotional, wisdom, and bliss realms (koshas). Open to yoga teachers and curious students. At least one year of āsana practice is recommended, but not required.
