Liberation through Self-Knowledge

What is the Laughing River School of Yoga:

Liberation through Self Knowledge?

The Laughing River School of Yoga: Liberation through Self Knowledge is a curated compilation of workshops, series and training meant to expand your mind and open your awareness to the treasure and depth of the yogic teachings.

It provides an opportunity to go deeper in your learning and practice and through this deepening, emerge more awake, more conscious and more liberated.

We invite you to join us. Open to all those who are willing to look within.

What makes this different from a regular yoga class?

Have you ever wondered why you feel more relaxed, at ease, and uplifted after a yoga class?

In this LRY School of Yoga, you will learn how the techniques you do in class (asana, pranayama, meditation, visualization, deep relaxation) are part of a complex science of mind and body that stems from ancient yogic teachings. You will learn the philosophy and physiology behind these teachings, in order to better understand why you are doing what we do in class.

The truth is, when you return to regular drop-in classes with a deeper understanding of why, your experience will be more full and connected, with longer lasting effects.

Is this for me?

Ask yourself...

  • Are you interested in learning more about yogic philosophy and techniques?

  • Do you want to grow and transform?

  • Are you curious about why you feel the way you do after class?

  • Are there techniques that do or don't work for you and you want to understand more about that?

  • Do you want to integrate your yoga practice on the mat into the rest of your life?

  • Do you want to learn more about the roots of yoga?

If you answer "yes" to any of these questions, then "yes" the LRY School of Yoga: Liberation through Self Knowledge is for you!

What is "Liberation through Self Knowledge"?

Liberation through Self Knowledge is the concept that the more we know ourselves, the more we can free ourselves from habitual patterns of thinking and reacting. Our minds and bodies are inhabited with past events, traumas, experiences, things we have learned, and cultural ideologies.

When we look closely and see our unique belief systems and patterns at work, we learn that we have a choice. We have a choice around the way we think, which will change the way we feel, which will change the way we act in the world.

The liberation comes from a deep knowing that underneath it all we are whole, and we can actively choose to see our wholeness. We can know ourselves so completely, that we can love ourselves just as completely. Once we work to see ourselves and our potential more clearly, we can also see this in others, and work toward the liberation of all beings.

Is there a certification for this?

These workshops and trainings count as hours toward our 300 hour YTT certification, for those who are enrolled. However, they are also open to anyone who is interested in learning more about the roots and philosophy of yoga.

There is no certification for those who are not enrolled in Yoga Teacher Training, but it will enhance and deepen your regular practice. Who knows? It might even inspire you to get a certificate from our 200 or 300 hour programs down the road.

Yes, I want to become liberated.

How do I get started?

This is a beautifully written introduction to the deeper dimensions of yoga beyond the physical practice. I really appreciate how the Laughing River School of Yoga emphasizes self-knowledge, awareness, and understanding the why behind asana, breath, and meditation. Learning the philosophy and science behind these practices truly helps integrate yoga off the mat and into daily life, creating more lasting balance and clarity. In the same way, having clear and reliable information in everyday matters supports peace of mind and conscious living—trusted resources like myaadhar.uidai.gov in help people stay informed and organized. This approach to holistic growth and mindful living makes the LRY School of Yoga feel genuinely transformative and welcoming for anyone ready to look within.

This was such a warm https://citylineairconditioning.com/ and informative introduction to the school and its philosophy. The sense of community really comes through. I recently read a reflective piece on a citylineairconditioning review blog that touched on creating supportive spaces, which made this post resonate even more.

Such a welcoming and informative overview. The https://qualityfenceandcustomoutdoors.com/ values and approach are communicated very clearly. It reminded me of a wellness-focused article I saw on qualityfenceandcustomoutdoors that emphasized mindful learning.

This was a lovely introduction to your school and https://mirianlaw.com/ philosophy. The emphasis on mindfulness and inclusivity really stood out. I saw a similar wellness-centered discussion on a mirianlaw-related blog and enjoyed the shared values.

The Laughing River School of Yoga offers a deeper and more transformative approach than a regular yoga class by focusing on self-knowledge, awareness, and understanding Geometry Dash the science behind yogic practices. Rather than only practicing techniques like postures or breathing, students are guided to explore the philosophical and physiological foundations of yoga, allowing them to understand why these methods work. This deeper learning leads to more meaningful, lasting benefits—helping practitioners become more conscious, connected, and liberated both on and off the mat.
