danielle "d" little

teacher

she/her

A lifelong learner and passionate teacher, D began teaching movement and mindfulness to children in 2003, and was introduced to yoga in 2018 when she started checking in classes here at Laughing River. Seeking a way to continue teaching while branching out in a new direction, D  completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training at Laughing River in 2024.

As someone who considers herself neudivergent, D has found the benefits of yoga deeply supportive in maintaining physical, mental and spiritual health and wellness.  She believes that no matter where your mind, body or soul are at, yoga has enormous potential to offer something you need and will meet you wherever you are at.  D is especially interested in the intersection between Eastern and Western philosophies and sciences and how both traditions can support practitioners' goals and growth in all areas of life.

D's classes offer a balance between effort and ease, movement and stillness.  She often describes her classes as 'slow and strong,' combining fluid, dynamic movements with slower, longer holds. Her classes also provide opportunities to work more closely with the breath through pranayama.  In an effort to adapt her clases to practitioner's needs and make yoga as accessible as possible, she offers modifications and encourages the use of props as a way to open up the body and explore with curiosity.
