This month YTT focused on the Pranic Body and Principles of Assisting. Students explored the yogic subtle body as understood through concepts like the chakras, vayus, bandhas, and pranayama techniques.
Participants began to tune in to the movement of energy within the physical body, and investigated how to harness that energy to flourish personal spiritual endeavors.
Texts studied included Chapter 2 of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras – on the practices we can use to reduce the afflictions the mind. The context included the larger framework of Ashtanga, the Eight-Fold path as outlined in the Sutras.
