January to June, 2017
6 Wednesday Nights or Friday nights and one Weekend Workshop
Led by Sofi Dillof and Julia Howe Sullivan

The Laughing River Yoga Teacher Enhancement Program is designed to meet the needs of those teachers who have already completed a 200 hour yoga training program and are looking for that next step. Through community, continued guidance, and mentoring we aim to provide inspiration and tools that empower professional and personal growth and that will keep you learning and keep your teaching fresh.

* This program is a requisite for the LRY 300 hour TT but can also be taken by itself.

The basic program structure is as follows:

6 Friday night mentoring sessions (FULL) or 6 Wednesday night (SPACE AVAILABLE) mentoring sessions during which we will explore specific yoga techniques to study, review homework assignments, and support one another around the experience of teaching. The dates are:

Friday nights (7:15-9:15 pm at LRY):

1/20, 2/17, 3/24, 4/28, 5/26, 6/16

Wednesday nights (6:45-8:45 pm at Prenatal Method):

1/18, 2/15, 3/22, 4/26, 5/24, 6/14

1 required weekend workshop with Sofi and Julia that will take place the Saturday and Sunday after our first Friday night session (January 21 and 22). This workshop will cover: theming, chanting, intelligent sequencing, and assists.

Scriptural studies

The above components will provide 24 contact hours and 75 non contact hours which can be used toward the LRY 300-hr training, if desired. To complete the 300-hr training, these hours can be combined with approved LRY workshops which will go toward your 300-hr training. You will have up to 3 years to complete the 300-hr training, if that’s something you’re working toward.

The approved workshops begin in October 2016 in order to include the weekends with Simon Park and Jill Satterfield (see the LRY website for details).

Other potential workshops that you can look forward to in 2017 that can be used toward the 300 LRY certification will include: Deb Sherrer (trauma sensitive), Emily Garrett (Yin Yoga), Sofi Dillof (Healing through the Chakras) and Ben Williams (Sanskrit Studies).

The hours are broken down as follows:

24 contact hours – 12hr contact on Wednesdays  and 12 hr contact  from required weekend

75 non contact hours (15 hours homework/teaching/teaching methodology per month)

The cost of the program is $625. A 25% ($156.25) non-refundable deposit can hold your spot.

Our hope for this program is to create a supportive community in which yoga teachers will deepen their pedagogic skills as they make friends and build sangha around that which we love to do.

We look forward to connecting with those of you who are interested. Registration opens September 1st. Please contact [email protected] if you have any questions.
