As we live through these difficult times of COVID, social unrest, and political tensions, it is especially important to remember to engage in practices that calm and fortify our minds and hearts.
The upcoming November 3rd election is, for many of us, a hotspot of tension and anxiety. We know that whatever the outcome of that day, we will all benefit from support to manage the profusion of energies and emotions that will no doubt arise – whether celebration, excitement, anger, dread, confusion or a combination, we can take this opportunity to lean into our practice in community in order to settle our minds and soothe our hearts.
Join us for an online post-election-day meditation on Wednesday, November 4th at 12:30 pm. We will practice guided mindfulness meditation to gather our minds, followed by metta (lovingkindness) meditation to open our hearts to ourselves, each other, and all beings. The class is by donation, all are welcome, no experience is necessary.
