Katonah Yoga: Pranayama and Restorative Series

with Lauren Godes

Start the New year by learning new techniques and creating new habits!

"Life is technical, to get what you want one needs to develop good techniques" Nevine Michaan, founder of Katonah Yoga.

Restoration means returning to an original state. The purpose of Restorative Yoga is to embody forms or postures that allow the body to have a therapeutic experience. By setting up conditions of "being vs. doing" we can help our bodies to regain balance by tapping into the body's inherent ability to heal itself.

Pranayama is a system of breathing techniques that allow one to manipulate the universal energy of Prana. We will be learning and practicing practical techniques that everyone will be able to understand and even master. All are welcome.

Suggested props: 4 blocks, a blanket/bolster, yoga strap and a kitchen or folding chair.

This series will be held live and livestreamed from the Chace Mill.
