julie serow

Julie began practicing yoga in 2010 to complement her career as a professional dancer but discovered a realm of truth-seeking and self-inquiry that drew her to dive deep into the ancient practice. She completed her teacher training in 2014 at Laughing Lotus Yoga Center in New York City and has been teaching yoga ever since. Julie has completed additional trainings in Ayurveda, Hands-On Assists, Restorative Yoga, Inversions, and more. Julie eventually transitioned away from a career in the performing arts to teach yoga full time throughout New York City. In 2018, she moved to Vermont, seeking a different quality of life.

Julie's classes incorporate breathwork with creative transitions, eclectic playlists, alignment-driven cues, and yogic philosophy to create an experience that goes beyond the asana (physical practice). With a sense of humor and emphasis on the fact that all bodies are different, Julie's classes are inclusive and accessible to folks with various experiences and abilities. She is a firm believer that yoga is a transformative, lifelong practice that fosters love and kindness, and is humbled to have the opportunity to share it with you! When Julie isn't teaching classes, leading trainings, or on the mat, you can find her hiking with her dog, Rudy, snowboarding with her husband, or styling artisan jewelry.
