Jivamukti Open Class
with Julia Howe
Jivamukti is a yoga method that draws upon ancient yogic scripture for monthly themes, weaving philosophy throughout a physically rigorous asana practice. The five tenants of Jivamukti (ahimsa-- non-harm, bhakti-- devotion, shastra--scriptural study, nada--sound, and dhyana-- meditation) will be present in each class and students will walk away with not only their body feeling strong, but also with food for thought.
Whether you’re a beginner, deciphering the difference between vrksasana (tree) and sirshasana (headstand) or an advanced yogi who can put both feet behind their head, the Jivamukti Open class welcomes you, as it is open to practitioners of all levels. You work at your own pace, following the teacher’s verbal as well as hands-on guidance.
These open classes will be held in-person at the Chace Mill.
