We’re honored to have Darlene Mitchell as part of our yoga studio community. This June, Darlene is our student of the month. Here’s a little about why we think she’s so special. Darlene wrote this response to some questions we asked to get to know her better. Thank you Darlene for being you!
“I have been practicing yoga for 4 or 5 years. It started out as something my brother and I would do on vacations together. Though I began practicing yoga for exercise, I found it is also really good for relieving stress and getting in touch with who I am instead of focusing on who I, or other people, think I should be.
I practice at Laughing River Yoga because of the wonderful teachers and the variety of classes. My schedule changes every week and I enjoy being able to find classes that will work with my changing schedule.
When I am not doing yoga I work at Hannaford in the bakery and help my mom and sister out by taking them to do errands. They both don’t drive. I enjoy spending time with my family. We like to play games and read out loud to each other.”
