We’re honored to have Cayci Lefebvre as part of our yoga studio community. This June, Cayci is our student of the month. Here’s a little about why we think she’s so special. Cayci wrote this response to some questions we asked to get to know her better. Thank you Cayci for being you!
“About a year ago I found myself upon the wooden floor in LRY yoga studio, lying on the mat. For the first time in my life I felt like I was finally able to begin healing from feeling so broken and torn apart for years. I arrived heavy that day and left feeling a whole lot lighter. I truly believe yoga found me at a point in my life when I needed it the most. Through practicing on a deeper level and using it as my source of healing, Yoga taught me to let go of things that no longer serve me, to be aware of the moments we embrace each and every day and that it is okay to be whom we are fully. Yoga helped me mend myself together again. It helped me live instead of just being alive.
I showed up for a 200 hr YTT info meeting. At that point as crazy as it sounds I had only taken one yoga class before in my lifetime but I had a feeling that I was meant to be there and I was sure that I was going to take the leap. I am glad I did because I cannot express how much LRY YTT changed my life. It was powerful, inspiring, and transformational. I went in with the intention to only build my own practice and came out with wanting to share what I learned with the people who surround me; not only through teaching yoga but through the way I was starting to live my life. I choose LRY because every time I walk into this beautiful studio that overlooks a flowing river I feel free to be who I am. I feel at home and surrounded by an unbelievable loving and supportive community. Emily, Sofi and all of the amazing teachers have created a space that welcomes and accepts all beautiful human beings as we are. Through their teachings I have felt safe enough to be able to grow, challenge myself and experience at my own pace.
When I am not doing yoga, I spend my days working with children who are affected by Autism, it is a gift to watch them grow, achieve and shine in their own powerful and unique ways. I am passionate about making a difference in people’s lives. Aside from that I love to express myself through writing, dancing, art and photography. I will never be able to put into words how grateful I am for LRY and all of the wonderful people whom are a part of it, students and teachers for it has changed and saved my life in more ways than one.”
